A good start to the weekend...

My week in poker had really been up and down for the whole week. It really felt every time I made a stride I would also make a stride backwards. I woke up this morning thinking I really wanted to play a couple of the 45 man games on Full Tilt. Since they are way out of my bankroll I decide to play some $8.80 18 man games for some $26 tokens. Even though that is also out of my roll I $100 floating around in cyberspace just waiting to get dbld by Amataywho made this post on the Raise the River Forum titled "Does anyone wanna bet me?". I was intrigued and plus I am also willing to accept a wager from someone if I am positive I am going to win. Low and behold Amatay made a drunken wager stating that he could make $10,000 in the month of June only playing $33 6 max SnG's on Full Tilt Poker. I quickly did the math and figured to stand a chance he needs to run at a 30% ROI for 1009 games. Needless to say I was the first one to jump on the band wagon and bet $100... There was so much interest though we had to actually ship our money to an in between Burnleymik. SO off went 1/3 of my Bankroll to be doubled in 30 days.

So I woke up and played my first $8 token game and easily take my first token, but bubbled the try for the $75 token with it. Once again I play an $8 18 man and get a $26 token. This time I work up the nerve to play a $26 45 man tourney again. And what do you know I went and took it down for a 1st place of $410.00.

After that I made the decision to create an account on Ultimate Bet. Partly due to watching kennl tear the competition up, and partly after reading Mark's article on how people are being to hard on Ultimate bet as 99% of the players there were unaffected by the cheating scandal.

So I asked kennl for a swap in Full Tilt Money for some UB money and shipped him $50.
Also Kennl was gracious enough to sell a % of his big game on Party Poker. I bought 5% off of him for $32. Kennl has a really good history of making us low limit pip squeaks on RtR money. So I seem to have my money online money spread around a bit so I thought I would take a little time and just say where my Bank Roll is right now.

Full Tilt Poker: $469.00
Poker Stars: $111.00
UltimateBet $ 85.00
Amatay Prop bet $100.00
Kennl Share $ 32.00

A disappointing weekend...

I have thought for a bit about how to expalin my feelings after my 4 day weekend of poker to the masses. I just could not find the words so I found the picture picture that says it all...

Yeah felt pretty low after my weekend. Not because of how much I lost because I actually made a small profit. Around 40 dollars up over all for the weekend. What crushed me was the possibility. I played some Full Tilt Poker sats to win tourney tokens. I played 4 $26 45 man games and 3 times I made the FT, two of which I made it the bubble. 1 I screwed up calling the second shorty with 88 when I coulda folded. The other two I ran my JJ and KK into QQ and AA respectively both times it was folded to me once on the button and once from the small blind. Both times however the BB woke up with a monster hand. Those three hands did alon would have been worth about $240 guaranteed. So needless to say I was on the verger of quiting. I have decided after winning a couple on stars and coming so close on full tilt poker. I think I am going to concentrate on the 45 man games for a bit.

Dont think that I let 3 tourneys get to me it just seemed even when the deck was hitting me in the face. I was actually getting kicke din the nuts...

Well thats all for now will give more updates later...

Roller coaster of a day...

I ended up losing $30ish in a day where I had some real chances at making $400+ so needless to say I was a bit disappointed... I started out my day playing for a $75 token on Full Tilt Poker this was my first bad beat of the day as I thought I was using a $24 token I had won earlier and actually was using about 1/5 of my bank roll... I went into the final table 3rd in chips and actually wanted to cash 6th for the $54 as I did not really feel like playing a $75 game and you cant sell the tokens... We got down to 6 people and I started pushing all in as I was going to be quite happy doubling my money... The oddest thing happend though no one would letme go out in 6th. after 5 all ins in a row I had 11k in chips and no real chance of busting out in 6th so I looked to see what $75 dollar games were available.

I ended up choosing the 32k gtd $74 KO tourney on FTP and as I waited I decided to play a $10 27 man on PokerStars which I quickly exited in the first hand with QQ into KK. After that disappointing tourney I choose to try a $5 27 man instead. I never got anything going really and went out in 12th...

I decided not to play anything until the $75 tourney started and when it did I got a guy all in AA vs KK and he four flushed me leaving me with 210 chips... Very next hand I get A8s and push and get 1 caller I dbl up and ind up with 440 chips... I wait it outuntil I get AKs I shove it ina nd get 4 callers I now have 2180... I ended up KO-ing two ppl and was top 20 in chips with a 160 left when I was dealt JJ in the SB two limpers in the pot and one standard 3x raise I shove OTT. The BB who not only the only guy yet to act is also the only guy at my table that can end my tournament insta-calls and shows AA I get no help but did get 2 KO's which means I actually made $6 profit for the $24 spent on the sat game.

Game 5 I tried another $3 90 man KO that I am staked for by burnleymik.

Game 6 was a 2.20 100k sat and my head just was not in it and I went otu in 17th out of 36 with AK vs 22

I decided to take break and came back wanting to take a shot so I settled in on a $26 45 man game on ftp with my $26 token. I enter the FT 3rd in chips and get dealt QQ the flop came J high and I shove all in. 2nd in chips insta calls and flips over AJ he spiked the J on the river gg me...

Now I am going to be honest here I lost my mind when that happened and had a good old fashioned fit... Instead of donking off my roll I chose to drive to the store and get ice cream. I cam back and finished off my night by playing about 10 $10 HU matches on FTP and pretty much broke even...

So here is the quick run down of everything from yesterday...

PokerStars played 3 games total: For a total loss of $18.70
1 - $10+ $1 27 man tourney
1 - $ 5+ $.50 27 man tourney
1 - $ 2+ $.20 36 man 100k sat

Full Tilt Poker For a total loss of $12.50
1 - $24+ $2 18 man sat - won a $75 Token
1 - $70+ $5 23k gtd KO - 2 KO's for $30
1 - $24+ $2 45 man SnG
1 - $ 3+ $.30 90 man ko - 2 KO's for $1
1 - $ 5+ $.25 HU match cashed for $0
3 - $10+ $.50 HU match Cashed for $40
5 - $11+ $.50 HU match Cashed for $66

I have showed my dedication once again...

There moments in life that you can really show your dedication to something you love to do...

Recently one of those moments presented itself to me... I started 180 man tournament on poker stars feeling good and confident. Then about 30 minutes in I started to feel a bit nauseated... Then that turned into full blown vomiting...

I know what your thinking its only $4 log off and go get better... I however chose to hold a trash can in my lap and final table the damn thing... My wife even decided to catch it on film...

So I decided to post the picture and let you decide if I look mor elike a degenrate gambler or a man passionate about his hobby...

Notice the bottle of Pepto Bismol to the right...

Beginning of a long weekend....

Well I said I am going to attack the tables. Unfortunately so far today the tables are fighting back. I played 5 games today and right now am in my 6th...

I guess I will start the talk of my play with some back story. The fellas a RTR are great peeps and they have started a new staking section. It is mainly geared towards micro stakes players in an attempt to discover new talent... However, since I won't turn away free money I decided to take a staking from BurnleyMik to play 10 x the $3 90 man KO tournies on Full Tilt Poker.

So I decided to play a mix of those and I wanted to play $2.20 Sats to the Sunday
100k so I could use that money to try to sat into the Sunday Million.

So...

Game 1: was a $3.30 90 man KO game... I started off well but made some stupid mistakes, including making a pot sized c-bet instead of a 1/4 pot sized probe bet... That cost me 1500 chips but I managed to dbl up late only to have my internet connection go out and get blinded out in 25th...

Game 2: Was a $2.20 sat that went really quick as I got AIPF with KK vs AJ in the 3rd hand...GG me

Game 3: Was a $2.20 sat that also went very quickly as I made a bonehead call preflop with AQ and sure enough the guy had QQ and just as most poker bloggers that play on stars I was not allowed to suckout.

Game 4: was another $3.90 man KO and honestly I owned this game until I got AIPF with my JJ vs 22 and lost half my stack... I then shoved 3 hands later from the button with three limpers. The SB and BB called, everyone else folded... My AK ended up against 99 and AQ I did not improve so gg me...

Game 5 was my 3rd sat and I actually managed to take $6 for finishing one outside the tickets, but I forgot about ICM and cost this one. So I can only bitch at myself. On the good side I am only down .60 from playing the sats today.

Game 6 is a $5.50 18 man non turbo on stars... Like I said it is in progrss but I have started off well and currently 6th out of 12 ppl right now so wish me luck...Update finished 2nd for $27 in game 6 so I am $14.30 in the green for the day...

All and all I am pretty happy with my play and think that finishing in the top 25 of 2 str8 90 man is pretty good. I think had my JJ held I would have made top 3 so I can look into the future with my head held high as I think I will at least turn a profit in these $3 90 man ko games on Full Tilt Poker.

As always thanks for reading my little corner of the internet... And see you next time..

An odd odd event...

I'm getting ready to start my latest attack on the tables and unfortunately I have to announce that I lost a chunk of my money playing ring games.

I know what your thinking-"Why would this idiot keep dumping his money in the same ring game?"

Well haha I will tell you why...

So there I was trying to get my poker office all set up to track my play so I can give good detailed updates and analyze my play more easily. I decided to jump onto a .02/.05 ring game on stars. I bought in for the

MAX of $10 and sat there ready to try to play some poker...

Oddly enough the first thing I see in the chat is "86os you guys better call", and sure enough someone did indeed call, and sure enough this person indeed held the mighty 86os. I was curious and when they said Ajs and I held Aks I insta called. Sure enough a J hit, and of course they were not lying...

Still having not wrapped my mind around what was going on I rebought for another $10 and then an observer shows up... Begging this girl to stop giving away her boyfriend's (or I assume now ex-boyfriends) bank roll. Her only reply was 59os someone had better call. Being in the BB and everyone else folded I called with the massive 105s (what? I had her dominated!) and the 9 hits...FFS!!! I cant win even if someone is GIVING MONEY AWAY!!! It turned out they were infact giving away money, as she caught her boyfriend cheating, and he had left his account logged in during the ensuing argument...(this info came from the observer begging her to stop)

Still even though I have lost $20 I make myself get up for two reasons. The first reason is this person has already given away $100+ and does not appear to be stopping, and second it was more than mildly entertaining. About 20 hands later (she has been all in every hand) she says, "I have QJ". I see QQ and make the call. There is no way I am losing this... AK3810 board.... FUCK ME!!!! Lol. She actually typed in the chat box, "I am not trying to trick you..." Next hand she loses and then rebuys for $3.43... And says, "Well, that's about it..."

My poker office said in a span of about 25 minutes this girl ran through
$353.00 on a 5nl table... Eventhough I did not get any of the money in
the end. I do feel I did the only thing a true poker player would do and
try to take advantage of the most +EV situation your ever going to
find...

Not a whole lot of poker...

Played a little last night as I was busy trying to my blogroll and links and such upto date. I cashed in both games I played though taking 3rd in a STT of Full Tilt Poker, and also nabbed a $26 token on Full Tilt Poker as well.

I am really excited about the upcoming weekend as it is a four day weekend for me. It also is the timeframe of the next Turbo Takedown on Poker Stars. I am happy to announce I did indeed qualify for it and I am very excited about waking up at 3am to play in it.

Since I already have to wake up I am trying to qualify for the Sunday Million as well but not sure if I will have the time ta actaully do it. I also want to Sat into the Sunday 100k.

I am still working out what direction I really want to take in poker I have rebuilt my rolls from $0 to about $250 across two sites. In fact I have $127.09 and a $26 token on Full Tilt Poker, and $99.00 on Poker Stars. My plan is to keep track of the games I play and my profit/loss using Poker Office. I will end each post with a numbers run down and try to do a weekly run down of everything played.

I also think I am going to do a graph thing like TanOrpheus did on his blog.

I also want to end this post telling everyone to go check out the following sites as the operators are all friends of mine and just plain good people, and have a great content on their sites....

Raise the River - A very friendly and growing poker forum.

Melted Felt - A Onionesque poker news site written by Mark, who happens to run the EMPIRE of planet websites to include Sit and Go Planet, and Omaha Planet!!!

Also I would like to congratulate PUD for landing a spot writing a blog for BetFair...Way to Go Mate and I hope it turns into something HUGE!!! for you...

Check out his blog at Puds Poker Progress

Well thats all for now and if you have not noticed I am BACK!!!!

Hello Again...

Well hello again, its been a while...

I have thought about coming back several times and even made a
few half assed attempts at doing so. I just could not find the
motivation to come back and start blogging. Well today that all changed
and I have decided that after about 3 months of not taking my play
seriously that is was time to either do it or stop fucking wasting my
time. I hope you are all happy that I chose to continue playing.

Well, I know that playing has nothing to to do with blogging
but I was on the fence as to whether or not continue my blog. I have
thoroughly enjoyed writing this blog in the past and have actually had
a few fans and more readers then I expected. I was leaning toward
giving it up until I read a post over at Marks blog that said
this:

Happy to announce that my new blog is ready.

This will not replace Plan3t Gong (will be right back with more strategy including relating 'Kill Phil' to SNGs very shortly)... Melted Felt Blog is in fact a new idea - to cover poker news from a slightly different
perspective...

Have plently more 'material' already written, will also be going out to those bloggers whose work I respect over the next couple of days to request link exchanges... if you have a blog and would like to do a blogroll ex then feel free get in touch."

GL at those tables, Mark

Well whats this got to do with me you ask? I immediately went to go check out his new blog (and almost pissed myself laughing at one of the stories) and my humble
corner of the internet was listed in his blogroll of "respected bloggers". Now I hold Mark in truly high regard and link up to all his projects instantly... So to have him even mention me as a respected blogger really gave me a confidence boost.

So Mark thanks a lot...

I have finally started to go through my blogroll and update all the peeps at ukpokerscene. I apologize to those who have asked and haven't been added yet. I actually set up my blogroll to automatically update with my google reader. Unfortunately you have to add the blogs to a category so they actually show up... So have no fear as I am working diligently to clean up the blogroll and bring in all the new blog writing talent...

Aside from a few moments of drama RtR is still going strong and I still consider them one of the best forums out there. If you get a chance please go check them out. Expect a full rundown of things going on in the blogger world as I know it later today after I update my blogroll. I will also be putting together a quick run down of what has been going on in my poker life. ( a lot of build build build, lose it all taking a shot, build build build build lol...)

I am going to put together a plan and post it here. Also I am going to start logging everything in this blog again... I hope my readers will come back as I really did enjoy writing this blog before, and hope to get someof that back.
